What began as a Backstreet Boys satire turned into a ground-breaking drag king movement across Tasmania.
I script, film, and edit every piece of content as a complete one-person production pipeline (iPhone, Sony ZV-E10, DJI Osmo Pocket 4, Procreate, and CapCut). Using social media as their primary engagement engine, I create UGC content, music clips, live performance edits, and carousel stacks that put a signature Back Door Boyz spin on digital trends.
I strategically built a multi-platform ecosystem for The Back Door Boyz that extends well beyond live performance. I established the complete brand identity, including custom merchandise, gig posters, social media content, and channel management. To ground their working-class tradie personas, I built an interactive website styled after a classic Australian hardware store (think Bunnings). By blending irreverence with accessibility, every piece of content opens up meaningful conversations around gender, sexuality, and regional culture.

The Inception of the Concept
What began as a Backstreet Boys satire turned into a ground-breaking drag king movement across Tasmania.
I script, film, and edit every piece of content as a complete one-person production pipeline (iPhone, Sony ZV-E10, DJI Osmo Pocket 4, Procreate, and CapCut). The Expansion of the Impact
I strategically built a multi-platform ecosystem for The Back Door Boyz that extends well beyond live performance. I established the complete brand identity, including custom merchandise, gig posters, social media content and channel management.
To ground their working-class tradie personas, I built an interactive website styled after a classic Australian hardware store (think Bunnings).
By blending irreverence with accessibility, every piece of content opens up meaningful conversations around gender, sexuality, and regional culture.
Expanded the brand beyond live performance with the King Karaoke and New Norfunk community activation, and an active co-hosted podcast "Tassie Drag Stories".
