Help & FAQ's
What kinds of projects do you take on?
I work with small businesses, venues and festivals on branding, visual identity, event campaigns and social media content. That can look like logos, posters, programs, social tiles, signage and other visual assets that support your event or business.
Do you only work with clients in Hobart / nipaluna?
No. I’m based in nipaluna/Hobart but work with clients across Tasmania and beyond. Most projects can be done remotely via email and video calls.
Do you work with LGBTQIA+ organisations and community projects?
Yes. A lot of my work is with LGBTQIA+ festivals, venues and community projects, and I’m always happy to hear about new ideas in this space.
Why would I hire you instead of using AI or a cheap logo/website service?
AI tools and cheap platforms can be useful if you already know exactly what you need and just want something quick and basic. What I offer is different: I help you figure out your goals, your message and what your people actually need to see and feel. I bring lived experience , so your brand and website feel human, safe and real — not generic. I also handle the whole process end-to-end (logo files in the right formats, clear copy, images, layout and a site that makes sense), so you don’t have to translate “design language” or juggle five different tools on your own.
How long does a typical project take?
Simple pieces can take around one to two weeks. Larger projects like branding or full event campaigns usually take a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on deadlines and feedback rounds.
What do you need from me to get started?
To get started, it helps to have a rough idea of your goals, any deadlines, and examples of work or vibes you like (and don’t like). If you already have a logo, colours or existing materials, you can share those too. Don’t worry if it’s all a bit messy — part of my job is helping you sort through ideas and turn them into a clear, practical plan.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on the scope. Smaller pieces (like a single poster or a few social tiles) are priced differently to full branding or festival campaigns. Once I know what you need, I’ll give you a quote before we start.
How many rounds of changes are included for branding and design projects?
For branding and design projects, I include 2 rounds of revisions. In the first round I usually present one clear direction based on your goals and what I know will work. If it’s not landing, I’ll rethink and redesign rather than giving you lots of half‑baked options. Extra rounds are possible, but they’re billed separately. To avoid “design by committee”, it helps to have one main decision‑maker or a clear, agreed brief.
How does feedback work for social media or campaign projects?
For social and campaign work, we agree on a plan up front (for example: a batch of posts or a campaign concept). I’ll share drafts or a content plan for you to review, then we have one main feedback round before things are finalised and scheduled. Bigger changes or extra rounds are possible, but they may affect the timeline or cost.
